To support and facilitate the education and development of children by stimulating the growth of each child’s mind,
body and spirit according to the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.
We achieve this goal through a wonderful organization that brings together Staff/Faculty, IMS Families and the Board of Trustees.
Our staff and faculty are dedicated, talented, and experienced educators. They provide opportunities that ensure the development of your
child to their fullest potential. Art, music and foreign language are fully integrated into our Montessori curriculum.
The Ithaca Montessori School is a not-for-profit educational corporation established in 1968 as a parent cooperative.
Our parents are the sustaining force behind the vision that we have for IMS. There is a bond within the school community that is enduring.
Our parent cooperative has fostered this strong sense of community through parents sharing their time and expertise.
